Nafplio was the perfect backdrop! We chose it because it’s one of the most beautiful towns in the area of Argolis (in eastern Peloponnese) as well as one of the most romantic cities all over Greece. Ancient walls, medieval castles, monuments and statues, Ottoman fountains and Venetian or neoclassical buildings mesmerize the visitor with their unique architecture and beauty.
The color palette was inspired by the pops of colors in the countryside every spring. We used lavender, peach, and pink flowers here and there + lush greenery to complete the romantic feeling of the florals and match the alfresco vibe of the Opora Country Living Hotel. When scrapbooking for this shoot we got inspired by classic romantic poems and the feeling that young love conquers all. Getting inspired by feelings leaves the soul wondering. Our concept was all about that weightless, feather-soft touch of love. We chose a dreamy dress by MadeBride by Antonea – appropriate for all the deeply romantic brides out there and delicate accessories. For the groom, a sky blue suit was equally debonair yet somehow it’s soft shade added to the overall romance. It was a modern approach to what Romeo and Juliet would look like if they made it to the wedding altar! Adorable, right?
The table setting to this colorful wedding inspiration in Nafplio, Greece was overflowing with flowers, their brightness contrasting with the country home perfectly. We wanted that fullness and vibrancy to counteract with a minimal table setting for a balanced, picture-perfect result. A heavenly wedding arch by Jim Labraco with flowers and grass (that looked like a fuzzy cloud!) created the perfect location to exchange vows and read poems of love. What is guaranteed to make you swoon? We had real doves to celebrate love – and we have a secret feeling that our models fell actually in love, too!
