This delicate mediterranean romantic wedding inspiration in Hatzi Mansion in Athens, Greece reminds us how the simplicity and the elegance of white can create a lovely concept full of blooming hope and that special light love has. When mood boarding for this editorial we opened up a bottle of prosecco because it was Sunday night and the moment we tasted the sparkling bubbles an idea came in our heads; what if instead of just holding flowers our model wore them, too? We wanted to create the feeling of a blooming bride, with white flowers on her dress, hair, and face.
Nestled amongst soft hills in the Athenian Riviera, Hatzi Mansion is a beautiful estate belonging to the Hatzi family for decades. It’s inspired by estates in Tuscany, Provence, and Istanbul. With a breathtaking view of vineyards, olive groves and the sea sparkling in the distance, we thought it was the perfect backdrop for our editorial. We wanted a Mediterranean flair with olives and poison ivy, yet a fine art sharpness to the overall concept. Our flower palette was all about peonies, roses, ranunculus and anthurium in minimal pastel shades. We wanted the focus to be in the texture instead of the color, a sophisticated juxtaposition that was chic and delicate! We used an overflowing table centerpiece as a nod to the perplexity of the landscape and we set the table with Marie Antoinette inspired china patterned plates and crystal glasses!
Our favorite part was the editorial portraiture with the hydrangea blooms, the delicate ranunculus and the gold gilded mirrors in the moody dining room of the Mansion. Take a look at our gallery, we’re in love with how refined everything is!
